REVIEW- Bared (CLUB SIN #2)

Four Stars for Bared (Club Sin #2) by Stacey Kennedy

I was pleasantly surprised by Bared. Truthfully, I wasn't expecting much, I've picked up a few D/s club-type romances and they were often filled with sex and BDSM and nothing more. No substance. No character development. Nothing. This was not the case with this second installment to the Club Sin Series by Stacey kennedy. We were treated to characters with depth and real emotion. The supporting players were fun to read about and I became interested in knowing more, hoping we'd get a bigger look into them in future books.
Our two main protagonists are Cora Adams and Aidan Knight. Cora is a submissive who has been a member at Club Sin for two years under the tutelage of the same master for that length of time. Aidan has been Cora's Master and relished in the closeness and the chemistry they shared while "playing" in the dungeon. For Aidan, things were perfect. He couldn't imagine himself with any other, he regarded Cora as the perfect submissive and though they weren't exclusive; neither had ever played with a different master or sub.

description

However, things were quite different for Cora. For the past two years, she had shoved any feelings she felt for Aidan aside in hopes of helping him get through a very significant loss in his life. She refused to acknowledge what she truly wanted from their relationship in partial fear that she would lose him forever. Everything comes to a head when Aidan notices a visible change in Cora's demeanor, vowing to get to the bottom of what is upsetting her, he unknowingly uncovers more than he had ever anticipated.
